Artist Streaming Earnings

See what your favorite artists earned across every streaming platform.

What Is BaseNaija

BaseNaija shows how much artists are likely earning from music streaming. Instead of guessing from chart positions or number of followers, we turn real stream data into a naira figure anyone can easily understand.

How We Get Our Figures

Every artist gets a Measured or Modeled label on each platform. Measured means the number comes straight from real stream or view. Modeled means there is no public numbers, so we estimate it using a payout rate and a regional listening share built from measured ones.

Platforms We Track

Right now we track Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Audiomack and Boomplay, since that's where most streaming in Nigeria and across Africa happens. Spotify, YouTube, Audiomack and Boomplay all report real numbers. Apple Music has no public stream data anywhere, so its estimated.

Why These Are Estimates

No streaming service tells the public what it pays an artist. What an artist gets paid depends on their deal, distributor's cut and other factors we can't see from the outside. What we publish is a realistic range built from public stream data and industry payout rates.

Who Uses BaseNaija

Fans use it to see how their favourite artist is doing beyond streams and followers. Journalists use it refrence when writing about an artist. Artists and managers use it to see how their numbers compare to others in the same space.
