BaseNaija estimates what Nigerian and African artists earn across streaming platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Audiomack, Apple Music and Boomplay. Nobody outside a label's accounting department knows an artist's real payout, that's what we are here to change.

Why We Built This

Conversations about an artist's success are usually driven by chart positions or follower counts, numbers that say very little about actual income. We wanted a tool that translates real stream and view data into a Naira figure anyone can understand.

How It Works

Every platform on an artist's page is labeled Measured or Modeled. Measured numbers come from real stream or view counts. Modeled numbers are estimated from an artist's measured platforms using a regional listening share ratio.
