Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer Pheelz returns with "Cash Rules Everything Around Us" a new single released on October 16, 2026. The record arrives following a busy year for the artist, whose recent moves include the collaborative project "A Rii Set" with Rii and its accompanying live release. Known for moving between production, songwriting and vocals, Pheelz continues to build his catalogue as a solo artist.
Produced by Pheelz, with co-production from Nelson Kyle and background vocals by Shay Lia, the 2-minute, 36-second track is listed under Afrosounds genre. Its compact runtime gives the release a direct approach, while the repeated vocal refrain places the song's central idea at the forefront. The production credits also include four composers, Nelson Kyle, Philip Kayode Moses, Elijah Blake and Shanice Dileita Mohamed.
The song revolves around money, financial aspiration and the desire to see success come with greater ease. In the refrain, Pheelz sings "Money money money easy easy", followed by "Money money coming breezy breezy". The repetition gives the hook its defining phrase, while "My way my way" introduces a sense of personal determination.
The release follows a period of renewed activity for Pheelz, who has continued to balance his work as a vocalist with his established reputation behind the boards. His recent catalogue includes "Growing Pains" and "Jamming" alongside "Peace by Piece" his collaborative EP with Fireboy DML in 2025. Earlier in his solo career, "Finesse" featuring BNXN, helped establish his ability to turn melodic songwriting and contemporary Afrobeats production into a crossover record.
"Cash Rules Everything Around Us" also keeps Pheelz in the producer-artist role that has defined much of his musical journey. With the artist leading the production and sharing the songwriting credits with an international group of composers, the single adds another money focused record to his growing body of solo work.
