Cheque (born Akanbi Bamidele Brett) is a Nigerian singer, rapper and songwriter who was born in Okitipupa, Ondo State, and grew up in Ondo Town. He started making music while studying Chemical Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University and was signed to Phyno's Penthauze in 2019. He rose to mainstream fame with "Zoom" in 2020. He released his debut album, Bravo, in 2021. His notable songs include "Zoom", "LOML", "History", "Energy" and "Sunflawa".
