Born Tolani Otedola but professionally known as just Tolani is a UK based Nigerian singer, songwriter and daughter to Nigerian business mogul and billionaire, Femi Otedola.

Tolani was born and raised in Nigeria’s biggest city, Lagos, she had her primary school education at Grange School, Ikeja before proceeding to Adesoye College, Offa, Kwara State for her secondary school education.

She later studied Psychology for her first and second degree at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and also has a diploma in Music & Master Performance from Tech Music Schools in London.

Career

Tolani fell in love with music after having to spend time with her father playing loud music in car, she then developed interesting in pursuing a career in music after leaving school.

She also described herself an being artistic and was a member of choir both in school and church, she at this time learnt how to play musical instruments and songwriting.

She hosted her first Nigerian musical showcase in 2017 at Terra Kulture Arena, Victoria Island, Lagos and had performances from top industry players like Tiwa Savage, Skales, Dr Sid, Don Jazzy, Ikon and Funbi.

Discography

Though Tolani has been recording songs in her studio at home for quite some time, she however brought her craft to the public with the her first single, “Tenderoni” featuring Nigerian singer, Skales.

Her 2019 single “Ba Mi Lo (Come With Me)” featuring former Mavins Record act, Reekado Banks has amassed millions of streams in all streaming platforms and still counting.

She also released “Liar” in which seems to be her most popular track yet in 2019 and currently has 300,000 views on YouTube.

During her first musical showcase in Nigeria, Tolani gave numerous listeners in attendance a peek into her upcoming album which features accomplished songwriters and producer, the likes of Ali Tennant, E-Kelly and Anthony Marshall.
